Teeth Whitening

Our teeth naturally yellow as we age, leaving some people with a smile that looks and feels unattractive to them.

Drinking coffee or soda, smoking, receiving too much fluoride, or the effects of certain medications can also cause discoloration of the teeth. Perhaps you have purchased an over-the-counter teeth whitening kit from a drugstore only to feel disappointed with the result. If so, consider professional teeth whitening from us instead.

Teeth Whitening Solutions

One surefire way to perk up your smile is to whiten your teeth. Depending on the amount of dental work you’ve had, your mouth’s sensitivity and the color of your teeth, your dentist can suggest appropriate whitening methods:

  • Whitening Toothpastes. Including mild abrasives and other agents, these can remove minor surface stains.
  • Home Whitening. Typically involving a custom-made tray that you fill with a peroxide-based whitening agent to be applied to teeth over several days, this method is dentist-prescribed but can be lower cost than in-office treatments. We carry both Colgate and Opalescence to meet your need.

Dr. Stephens will advise you about the whitening methods best suited to your mouth. A brighter, more cheerful smile may be just one office visit away!
